Upper Makefield Youth Baseball & Softball

We proudly serve the boys and girls of our
community, ages 5-18, by offering both Baseball and Softball.

The Upper Makefield Youth Baseball League is dedicated to promoting good health, good sportsmanship and leadership skills in the boys and girls of our community by giving them the opportunity to play organized baseball and softball in a safe, supportive environment.

Run by committed volunteers and generously supported by area businesses and families, the league welcomes the participation of all who enjoy baseball and value the role athletics can play in the development of youngsters in to committed, productive adults.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE 2009 SEASON

Week of March 23rd: Player placements will be completed, teams will be formed and managers and coaches will contact players and parents. Practices will be scheduled by managers who will inform parents and players.

March 28th: Field Maintenace Day for Sol Feinstone and Lookout fields. This is an important date for all parents to volunteer and help get the fields ready for the season. Field clean up, raking, fence repair, and equipment organization are all part of this important effort. MANAGERS WILL CONTACT PARENTS WITH SPECIFIC TIME AND NEEDS; IN GENERAL, 8AM TO 12 NOON or until the work gets done.

Weekend of April 3: Baseball Travel play begins; exact schedules will be supplied by Travel Coaches

Week of April 13th - Baseball in house season season begins

Friday April 17th, 7pm to 11pm: ANNUAL FUND RAISER at Middletown Country Club. Beef and Beer event, Silent Auction, and Kentucky Derby "Off to the Races" theme and gaming event! Details to be announced.

Saturday April 18th: Opening Ceremonies and Picture Day (Times and schedule to be announced)

Wednesday May 20th: SAVE THE DATE for UMYBL NIGHT at Waterfront Park to see the Trenton Thunder take on the Akron Aeros!

NOTE: UMYBL BOARD MEETINGS ARE HELD ON THE SECOND WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 7:30PM AT THE UPPER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP BUILDING. INTERESTED MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.
