NOTE: UMYBL BOARD MEETINGS ARE HELD ON THE SECOND WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT 7:30PM AT THE UPPER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP BUILDING. INTERESTED MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.

Conduct the affairs of the League and execute the policies established by the Board of Directors. Present a report on the condition of the League at the Annual Meeting. Communicate to the Board of Directors such matters as deemed appropriate, and make such suggestions as may tend to promote the welfare of the League. Be responsible for the conduct of the Local League in strict conformity to the policies, principles, rules, and regulations, as agreed to under the conditions of the charters issued to the Local League by each organization. Designate other Officers, if necessary, to have the power to conduct business and execute contracts on behalf of the Local League which have had prior approval of the Board of Director. Investigate complaints, irregularities, and conditions detrimental to the Local League and report thereon to the Board or Executive Committee as circumstances warrant. Prepare and submit an annual budget to the Board of Directors and be responsible for the proper execution thereof.

League Affiliation Contact Point; handle Ripken, Pony relationships, and maintain League adherence to rules, regulations, charter, etc. coordinate post season activity. Manage Facilities (sheds, scoreboards, electrical, maintenance equipment supervision, sanitation, bathrooms, electrical, scoreboards). Equipment and uniform procurement, inventory, distribution. Field Maintenance coordination, field playability decisions, field improvement planning, field usage planning and coordination. Handle Insurance and field permitting, CRSD and Township liason. Work closely with Directors of Softball and Baseball to ensure a good experience for players and parents.

Responsible for working with President, VP, and Baseball and Softball Directors to create and schedule necessary clinics for BOTH softball and baseball. Determine where player needs are by age level; coordinate use of UMYBL training facilities as well as other training organizations to create a strong program that improves the level of play on the field. Responsible for working with Treasurer to determine costs of programs, what UMYBL subsidy possibilities are, cost to membership, etc.

Lead Manager/Coach solicitation, selection, evaluation, development. Devise In-House Game Schedules and Calendars for Baseball and Inter-Township schedule for softball. Handle field practice schedules. Work with other officers to develop Umpire scheduling and coordination. Coordinate in-house playoffs and/or post season tournament activity. Select and manage league or age group coordinators (where needed); provide hands on leadership for on field activity to drive a positive experience for players and parents.

Coordinate registration process, including on-line and in person scheduling. Devise and execute fair and equitable player evaluation and placement process. Develop and execute inclusive player draft for forming teams. Communicate team rosters, contact details, etc to managers and Board
Secretary

Website development and maintenance; meeting scheduling, record meeting minutes. Create and manage season/league calendar. Manage Board nomination and voting process. Drive League marketing, media relations and PR. Assist all Officers with necessary communications to membership, including sign and flyer production, photography coordination, game broadcasting club. Maintain email lists of members, Board, coaches, managers, etc.
Treasurer

Maintain and monitor League 501C-3 non-profit eligibility and filing. Handle all accounting, banking, receivables, payables records. Prepare financial statements, cash flow analysis, balance sheets. With input from Board and other officers, prepare and help manage annual budget.
Director, Fund Raising and Sponsorships

Manage all fund raising and sponsorship activity. Conceive and plan Annual Fund Raiser activities as well as any ancillary fund raising, merchandise sales, etc. Own execution of team sponsorship and League benefactor solicitation; handle outfield banner process, coordinate matching team sponsorships with uniform procurement (VP). Develop new sponsorship revenue streams including website advertising; maximize Lookout and Softball sponsorships. Assist Treasurer with sponsorship receivables. Handle “thank-you” notes and photo plaque distribution (coordinated with Secretary).
Director, Snack Sheds and Special Events

Coordinate Season Opening Ceremony event. Coordinate snack shed volunteer system and scheduling, and operations. Develop procurement process. Provide cost of goods and revenue information to League Treasurer to track profitability. Plan and coordinate closing ceremony, including event scheduling, awards, trophies etc.
